Driving with Webflow's CMS

Excited to share our most recent Webflow White-glove Migration launch!  

At the forefront of mobility innovation SmartCar has earned the trust of industry giants like Uber, Turo, and Amp, ensuring seamless connectivity between apps and vehicles.

Despite loving their site, SmartCar Inc. aimed to revamp and migrate their existing website in React - custom-built with the Gatsby framework - to Webflow. The pursuit of a more user-friendly CMS was paramount.In response to this, our 8020 team embarked on a white-glove Webflow migration.

What we did:

☑️  Visual Audit: Using our very own custom Figma template, we scrutinized every facet of the client's website through comprehensive screenshots. This allowed the client to get a visual X-ray on their website + easily decide which content to keep or kill.

☑️  Content Audit + Sitemap: In collaboration with the client, we organized all the website content into our 8020 Airtable template to forge a clear roadmap on the new Webflow site.

☑️  Integrations + Extensions Audit: We performed a profound examination to enhance the functionality of all their third-party tools, such as Google Optimize, Front Chat Widget, Ortoo, Parity, Lever, Wistia, and more

☑️  Redirects Audit: We ensured a seamless transition through the optimization of redirection paths in metadata and URLs, and laid the groundwork for potential changes or expansions in the future.}

☑️  Webflow Development: Our team built the design system in Webflow by creating the CMS pages and the static pages, leveraging their existing brand identity. The result? We standardized Webflow components for over 35 static pages and transformed 412 dynamic CMS pages.

This meticulous approach not only ensured a smooth transition to Webflow but also set the stage to empower the SmartCar Inc. marketing team and stakeholders throughout the organization to autonomously and easily edit the website — allowing them to keep pace with their company's rapid growth.
